CK and Teess - thanks for the 'Fantasy League' set up - I'm afraid I have to work extra hard on the PLP 20/21 competition to improve my miserable 19/20 rating so I won't be in this time  :-\

Anyway well done - what will the new thread be called ?

(Sorry for not responding before - been moving house. Knackered  8) ).

A tip. Man Utd, Man City, Aston Villa and Burnley are not scheduled to play in the first round of fixtures. So you may wish to exclude their players initially and transfer them in later.

I've had rearrangement Tees: thanks for the heads-up!

Honestly, it's five minutes work to set up (and I used the 'auto pick' function). I would 100% encourage you to try it - you get to manage a team (if you want) so it can be more involved. Or you can leave it to potluck (like me) and see what happens. But the key thing is to be in the competition now. It might add an extra dimension and you might well be glad of the distraction if this Covid nonsense continues!

Anyway well done - what will the new thread be called ?

I don't know if it needs to have a separate thread for this; the participants will see their positions and I assumed it would be private to those participating. It only needs to be a shared experience by those involved. Tees does enough for us already. ThaiWolf might add a commentary from time-to-time for general amusement if so inclined!

Hope it went well! Make sure you post some pictures of your new place, and some insights into the local area! My best regards to you and Pui (the absolute master of Massaman! I still have not found a Massaman to compare with hers).

I find it adds to the viewing experience when 1 of your players score (5 points) or makes an assist (3 points). Imagine watching say Palace v Burnley with no real interest who wins yet you have Wilf Zaha in your team. Transfers should be used to ensure your 11 players are all getting a game each week.

Just 8 games in the first round of the Premier League starting Saturday, (because of the postponement of 2 games in the Manchester area). I hope this list of fixtures is correct and ready for predictions. I'll have to think about mine some more - it won't be easy this time.

Saturday 12th September

    Fulham v Arsenal
    Crystal Palace v Southampton
    Liverpool v Leeds United
West Ham United v Newcastle United

Sunday 13th September

West Bromwich Albion v Leicester City
    Tottenham Hotspur v Everton

Monday 14th September

    Sheffield United  v Wolverhampton Wanderers
Brighton & Hove Albion v Chelsea

Good luck to all   :)

First table after a truncated round of fixtures in week 1.

Alfie           0 + 6  =    6
Roger        0 + 6  =    6
Caller         0 + 5  =    5
Jivvy           0 + 5  =    5
Spursruss  0 + 4  =    4
Teessider   0 + 4  =    4
Thaiwolf    0 + 4  =    4
Coolkorat  0 + 3  =    3

So the front runners are Alfie and Roger with a 75% success rate which is also what you would scored by predicting 8 away wins.
