Candy Crush

Do you play (or have you played) Candy Crush? What level are you at now?

I think I was late getting started on it but I've played it quite a bit recently. I'm now at level 123 in the normal version and 102 on the owl version.

What about you? Do you play? What level? Post up your levels!

Or do you think it's a silly game?

Never played it, don't want to play it, and I get totally p..sed of by the constant stream of requests from so called friends inviting me to play it!

I think I will give Candy Crush a try. Need something new. I've been playing Bejeweled2, Sudoku, Power Line, Flow Free and Cribbage. They are good to pass some time when I'm waiting or sitting on the toilet.

Well done on reaching level 70 so quickly. I think it took me 2 or 3 weeks to get past level 19. For some reason I found that level and level 31 or 32 difficult. Some levels are very frustrating (wait till you get to the bombs!). Some are fun. I used to hate having to wait 24 hours between "quests" but now I think it's a good excuse to put my tablet down.

I'm now on levels 144 and 104. In 3 weeks I've only managed 2 levels in the owl version while passing over 20 levels in the ordinary version. Some levels are just plain luck. In one level I passed I had no idea what I was doing for 2 or 3 days before working out what I was supposed to do. It was a good level but the instructions weren't clear.

I completed level 110 and waiting the 24 hours for the next level. Took me a long time on level 100 and 105. I think the 24 hour wait is good thing like you said. Put the phone down and do something else. I hate the damn bombs. I spend too much time getting rid of those and not enough time to accomplish the real objective. Oh well, that's the challenge.

I'm now on level 161 on the standard game and still on 104 on the owl version. I think I'll be stuck on 104 for a while longer. It's tough! Have you tried the owl version yet, Eagle 3?

Yes, I play it on Android. Look at the top right hand side of the screen. There should be a circle with a picture of an owl in it. Click on that circle/owl and it will take you to another version. I think it kicks in at about level 50, you won't be able to see it before that. If you don't have it now you've reached level 110, perhaps you'll need to update your version.

Well, as luck would have it I got past level 104 on the owl version last night. I'm now on level 105. I also passed a few levels on the ordinary version. I'm now on level 165.

I'm on 125 and 89. I had a big problem getting past level 50 on the owl version - it took about 2 weeks to get it.

Have you noticed that the owl and standard versions are identical tasks except for the added difficulty of the owl balancing act in the owl version?

Yes, it's the same app, so I would expect the versions to be pretty much the same. The owl version is really frustrating. Many times candies cascading from the top will cause the owl to fall off when I didn't initially match any of the owl candies. So it's a lot of luck and very little strategy.

Soda Crush from the same company is very similar, but I think I prefer it. I got fed up with playing the Owl version - I keep getting tunnelvision and forgetting the owl. I've been stuck at 125 for a while, but I don't play it everyday anymore.

I met someone last week who said she was on level 700 (SEVEN HUNDRED)!!! I didn't think there would be that many levels and I think I will give up long before I reach that level.
