I see Caller subscribes to 'The Times' - I wonder how much that costs ?

I subscribe to the DT and it costs just £5pm- the normal rate is higher. Also until recently, I was paying £4pm to 'The Guardian' but I recently cancelled, (finding their content had degraded).

The DM website is free to access - IMO there is some good reporting in there (they were very good and comprehensive with Covid analysis/stats), but you have to skip over the celeb trash, of which there is much.

My favourite UK newspaper is 'The i' - I find it very insightful and without too much rubbish and advertising. I tried to subscribe but somehow could not do it from Thailand, (after much effort and discussion). I will subscribe next time I'm back in the UK.

For me it's very useful and provides a much wider range of topics and views than you can get on TV news etc.

Have you tried to use a VPN connected to a server in the UK and tried to subscribe?

Thanks Eagle. Yes I tried without the VPN and I also rang them in the UK several times - they even set up an access for me but still it didn't work.

Another plus point for the 'i' - their 'Quick Crossword' is the only one I can do LOL

I'm back in the UK in May so I'll fix it then.

I use this site as it gives access to all English language newspapers everywhere - except of course those that require a subscription.  I like being able to see local English county news too sometimes.

A fiver! It's the omly media I subscribe to. I gave up the Telegraph some time ago.

The paper I miss is the old Guardian / Observer.

Caller, you'll find it here: https://www.thebigproject.co.uk/news/
It might not be the 'old' Guardian, but......

Yes, thanks, I had already saved that website from earlier. The Guardian is still free online, although they keep pushing for me to donate. But I cant do that, because of it's inherent bias. Some of their commentators are my favourites, but the paper is not.
