I did a search but couldn't find many posts on K Farang on this subject.
Your Swatcats are going through a VERY bad time atm - 3rd from bottom of the Thai Premier.
They lost the last 4 games and are away tonight to BKK Utd who are in second position.
A win would be handy.

Also the manager has resigned. Should have retained Lee Tuck who has now left Thailand.

Hey Caller thanks for that news. I should think the Manager just got out the door before being hung, drawn, quartered and pickled for good measure ! Crowds having dropped from 20K + to about 5K, the Swatcats will need us all to be there next Saturday at 6pm to watch Suphanburi get a real walloping !
Pass another pill Dear ...

Dateline 14th May 2016

 Bangkok United 2 NRFC 1

With the Bangkok Angels flying high and the men from Korat struggling and without a Head Coach it will need heavenly intervention if the Swatcats are to gain anything from this game.

The match commenced with the visitors starting with Tagbajumi and Adeyeah up front, with Chivuta omitted.
The hosts started confidently and went close after 5 minutes and then scored the first goal after 10 minutes with a slick move that split the Swatcat’s defence apart with ease.
The Bangkok side looked impressive going forward and seemed to be able to open up the visitors defence at will, with a couple of good chances going begging.
Despite looking the weaker side tonight, the Swatcats seemed a little better organized and showed a bit more spirit than of late – defence looks very “leaky” though.

After 30 minutes with the Angel’s front men tormenting the visitor’s defence and no shots on goal from the men from Korat there is only going to be one result tonight.

A twice taken penalty in the 32nd minute led to a second for the hosts and the teams went in at half time with the Angels two up.

Second half and some good movement from the Swatcats leading to a fine drive from Lindemann and minutes later a reasonable penalty claim was turned down. The hosts countered with a snap shot hitting the bar.
A Lindemann free kick was well saved by the keeper in the 59th minute and the men from Korat were rewarded for their efforts when a superb 30 yard drive went in off the bar in the 61st minute to make it 2-1.

In the 71st minute Bangkok clattered the post with a well taken free kick and with the Swatcat’s defence tiring, the hosts began to exert pressure as the game entered its final phase.

Outclassed, at times, by a more polished side but there were some encouraging signs – especially in the second half. The team however is creating few chances even with two up front which is worrying.

The Swatcats begin their search for a new Head  Coach today after the resignation of Sugao Kambe. My hope is that a strict disciplinarian with some defensive coaching ability is appointed.

I would like to put on record that Sugao Kambe brought the club a long way - third tier obscurity to 8th place in the Premier League is no mean feat. Thank you for your service Sugao San and I wish you good luck in the future.

TW someone told me, that the once Thai Under 19 Coach was in place - but I'm not sure on what basis.
IMO it would be good to have a Thai in charge.

BTW whose was the 30 yard drive - the scorer ? Lindemann ?

Sorry to be grumpy but was Kambe in charge when we were in the Regional League ? And he has actually brought us to 3rd from bottom in the TPL despite having the biggest crowds in Thailand at his disposal.

Also do you think they could actually fix that clock - it seems a bit disrespectful that we all face the clock before K.O. to sing and NRFC have failed to repair it in aeons of time. Just a reflection of the shabby stuff at the Club. It's a stuffing clock - you wind it up or put a new battery in ! Just joking.

But I'll be there on Saturday to see a handsome victory.

I think the U19 coach is just an interim coach.
My thought is that we desperately need a European coach who has some idea on coaching and tactics.I personally would like to see Gary Stevens take the job.

I agree on the problem with the clock etc but it is really out of the Swatcat's hands because the Stadium is owned by SAT

Think Lee Tuck will join Leicester City LOL ;D ;D

Will Swats Cats avoid the drop without him?

I think they have the ability to avoid the drop as long as a competent coach is appointed quickly. If things are left too long the team may be cut adrift. They showed second half against Bangkok United that they can still play a bit (without Chivuta too don't forget).

You do not become a useless team overnight - this is a top ten team that has been allowed to disintegrate for whatever reason. My gut feeling is that the squad lost confidence in Kambe's coaching methods. I believe that such feelings were simmering towards the end of last season and things have just been brought to a head this season.

They have another tough opponent in Suphanburi on saturday. They need to show real character and try to take an ugly win. If they lose the fans (as they appear to be doing already) then the rest of the season is going to be  areal struggle.

The Swatcats welcome Suphanburi to the 80th Anniversary Stadium on Saturday 21st May at 6.00 pm. By their own high standards, Suphanburi have made a mediocre start to the season but will still provide a great challenge to the hosts.
The home team will be desperate to break a run of 5 defeats and after an encouraging performance against Bangkok United will be looking to lever themselves out of the bottom three.

Hi Roger,
here's hoping for 3 points tonight. I don't think there is much wrong with the squad, I think they have lost confidence and really do need a proper coach to knock them into shape. I think wholesale changes could lead to disaster. Priority is to stabilise and ensure that they are not relegated.
Enjoy the game.
