Apparantly old Jezzer has put his proverbial size 9 in it again, at least with the PC brigade.
He was talking about his new telly which has the usual eco mode whereby it uses less power and therefore saves the polar bears from drowning, or something like that. Then he commits the cardinal sin of saying that when in eco mode it is useless and that everything looks like Lenny Henry in a cave. I thought that was rather descriptive and in no way racist.
The thing is that Clarkson is deliberately a little provocative, and I think generally funny. He says that if you take away offence completely there can be no jokes. I don't think that is entirely true, but I take the general point.
