Alex Albon recovered from a massive grid penalty to secure an excellent 5th place in yesterday’s Belgian GP.

A terrific debut in the Red Bull Racing team.

A future World Champion in the making?

Thanks TW - well done Alexander Albon, Charles Leclerc and Lewis H.

A moving DT report on the race and the tragic death of young Anthoine Hubert.

So sad, and such a rare event in modern day racing due to great work by Jackie Stewart and others in improving the safety of drivers.

A battling 6th place for Alex Albon at Monza yesterday.

Just imagine the future post Hamilton,  Le Clerc, Max and Albon battling for the Championship.

Ferrari must get rid of Vettel I'm afraid,  he is rapidly becoming a liability.

Max in a Ferrari next season,  100%!!

Albon has of course,  no chance of challenging the Mecedes or Ferarris or indeed Max in the Red Bull,  hence 6th is probably the best we can expect from him in races this season.

Following his 6th place in Singapore, Alex Albon battled from a pit lane start to a superb 5th place in yesterday’s Russian GP.

Hi TW yes 4th place for Albon and he's 8th in the season's rankings - since switching to Red Bull he's done brilliantly.
I see he has 64 points - more than Daniel Ricciardo !

Robert ?

Hi Roger,

did you see the race? If yes I think I do not have to explain further. If you did not see the race just let me say that Leclerc got a 5 and 10 seconds penalty after the race. The 5 seconds penalty was for pushing Max of the track causing so much damage that Max had to abandon the race some laps later. The 10 seconds penalty was because after this accident Leclerc drove on with a damaged car. His mirror flew off and almost hit Lewis. So for me race was over after 10/15 seconds thanks to Leclerc.

Hope more clear now.

After his fine 5th place finish in last week’s Mexican GP, Alex Albon recovered brilliantly from a first lap incident to claim another 5th place in the American GP. He is currently in 6th place in the driver’s championship

….…. By the way, Lewis Hamilton claimed his 6th Driver’s Championship this weekend. Well done Lewis !!

....and by the way Max Verstappen was third and could have been second if there had not been a yellow flag in last rounds. Albon is also doing well but finished 78 seconds behind Max.

3 pits stops and a fight back from last place though Robert.  He was awarded driver of the day.
He has a long way to go to compete with Max but is alot less experienced.

Hi Robert. Max Verstappen and Charles LeClerc are the top 2 new Boys but look how Alexander Albon is catching up. He's ranked 5th this season overall but didn't he only join Red Bull from Torro Rosso at mid-season ? Well done Alex - Thailand have a World Ranked star - no doubt   ;D

TW - Lewis will feel he has to go on - but really he's done it all now  :o
I wonder if he will go for the 7th and 8th  8)

Lewis has at least two more championships in him. Alot will depend on how Mercedes copes with the new regulations in the coming years.
Don't write off a last hurrah with a season or two at Ferrari. He'd love to win championships with three different marques.
