Hey there everyone, like the proverbial "bad penny, I'm back!! Actually got back to the village about a month ago but have been keeping a low profile and just lurking around the various forums.
Anyhoo, hope everybody is keeping well and safe. Now to my reason for my first post since my return. No surprise really as the post heading kind of gives it away.
Yes, it's been almost a year since I bought the new car. I know that because the nice people at Korat Toyota have sent me a reminder that my insurance needs to be renewed. Obviously, first class insurance for the first year was included with the purchase price when I bought the vehicle so I had no idea what sort of cost I would be looking at for renewal. I've been quoted 18,000 B !!!! To me that sounds rather steep but I really have no idea of vehicle insurance costs over here.
A quick reminder; it's a Hilux Reevo, 4 door, 2wd pick up.
Would anybody have any idea whether that is a reasonable cost for renewal or. indeed where does everybody else insure their motors - do they have brokers the same as in the UK. Yep, been coming to Thailand since 2008 and I'm still posting "Noob" questions LOL - hoping for some pointers / guidance.
Oh. also, what do we do about the road tax thingy that's on the windscreen. Assume that needs replacing at the same time???
As always, TIA for any thoughts / assistance. Cheers Al
