Hi Jivvy. ASEAN has had a thread 'for sale' for some months. No takers. It's a very active site - e.g. 500 ? posts about the coming tax or not on 1st Jan. I'm guessing they missed a payment re. software and it'll be back soon. Or not.

Definitely not! That there were no takers speaks volumes.... Or perhaps it was sold - would anyone know? It's not likely an 'under new management' post would appear.

Cheers Eagle - I was missing chatting with the Guy with no grid electricity but solar cells and 2 electric cars, using his cars to power the house at night. So ASEAN will be back which is good. Thanks.

Cheers Tiggs - I must say I often wondered how ASEAN was financed as I don't see any commercial advertising at all - (but I have a 'blocker' on). In the Reddit comments someone says the Owners paid THB 30,000,000 and wanted THB 8,000,000 for it now - I thought it was someone's hobby

CK - a bargain ?

Overall I thought it a very useful source of alerts, tips, help and discussion, although some threads and many comments were pathetic to the point of dismay.

Who is the 'George' that owns it? I recall it being sold by the original owner years ago, and he then relocated to Hua Hin, he opened a bar restuarant along from the Hilton in the centre of town, called uninspiringly 'Thai Visa'. That went and is now known as 'Busy Bee'. I assumed he had sold it.
