Our two Ikea superstores here have 30 baht ($1.00) hot dogs.
I think they need to offer you something to help compensate for locking you into their establishment and not being able to get out until you get to the other end, grueling that place.
We have a Costco here to that opened about 18 month ago and I remember when I had a tour when they opened the massive pizzas they had there.
You need to pay 50 bucks per annum to shop at Costco, I can't justify that personally.
Sure they have things cheaper if you want to buy in bulk and they have a basic range of flat screen TV's that are a bit cheaper than the electrical retailers and I'm sure other things.
But a lot of wood ducks don't realise that you can barter the price of electrical goods, and furniture.
I have a friend who worked at Harvey Norman who are our largest electrical and furniture and for years I have always got cost price + $5.00 on everything I bought until he recently left and went into real estate sales

but he used to love it when people walk up and paid the retail price.
He also said that most furniture was marked 100% sometimes more.
