Resume paper may out of date. Portfolio and VDO may be more fantastic.  :)
I hope members like it.  :)
Please comments so that I can do better in next VDO.  ;D

WH I can't comment on you improving that VDO - maybe others can see some technical points. Seriously if that's the contact generator for your 'Tour Guide' work, my compliments. I thought it was just excellent. Good luck  :)

I'm not sure if you book the travel (bus etc.) and hotels or not. If you do, or know someone that can, then you could add this to the video. Maybe add more contact details as well, email, phone etc. Apart from that it looks good to me.

Hi Pookie

I like your video very much! Now you need to make sure as many people see it, and know about what you do, as possible. I have some ideas:

- create a 'brand' so people know you are an expert on Thailand. The members here might have some suggestions, things like "Thai Insider" (this one is not such a good idea because it can have another meaning!), "Virtuoso Thailand", "Pookie's Thailand". Something memorable. You want people to know you are an expert about travel all around Thailand.

- Having a website is good but may be expensive. Instead why not have two Facebook pages; one Public, which is like a shop window for what you do, and then a private group. The private group is so you can protect the valuable thing: your knowledge and information. If you put too much in the public group others may steal your knowledge. The private group means you know who can see the important (and valuable) information.

- Once you have a brand you like, and you are confident in the brand, begin to use social media as much as you can. Have an Instagram account, Snapchat, Twitter, LinkedIn. It is a lot of work but remember; you need to promote your brand (and it is easier to promote your brand than yourself because most people are embarrassed by self-promotion. But it is easier to promote the knowledge and experience of your brand and for people to pay for that.

- Create some model itineraries. These days a lot of people travel because they have particular interests. On the television here we get a lot of travel programmes about train travel. Michael Portillo has done some in Asia, and in Thailand (Great Asian Railway Journeys - this link may not work because the BBC restricts access outside the UK normally). You could do an itinerary 'Thailand by Train' starting in Chiang Mai, visiting historic sites and cities (and the Bridge on the River Kwai) and finishing in the Bangkok (including the train market). You could do one about Thai food, going to different regions and having different cooks give lessons. Another about Thai wildlife, perhaps for people interesting in wildlife photography, going to Khao Yai and other national parks. You can use Google maps to create maps. But make sure you keep the inside detail to yourself; protect your valuable knowledge!

It will take some time and some effort to put everything in place, and then you need to really make sure your name is known and people know you are someone to go to for trips and travel in Thailand. Have a look at Conde Nast Traveller to see more about travel. But I am sure the members here will gladly give you ideas, and there may be people who have experience they are willing to share with you. Join Trip Adviser and Google guides and post comments about interesting places in Thailand (and make sure you only post positive comments; if something is not good, just don't comment. But it is okay to comment about things we all know are tourist scams and traps, like the people who say the palaces and temples in Bangkok are closed, and try to get tourists into tuktuks to go to tailors or gem shops).

Good luck Pookie! We are 100% behind you. Now is the right time to do this work because no-one is travelling; you can do this now and be ready for when travel restarts, and for certain it will.

finishing in the Bangkok (including the train market).

That's in Samut Songkhram!

It's good Pookie, just get your name, contact details and English speaking plastered all over it. more than now. I agree about having your own tour guide facebook page and also about creating some suggested itineraries - they would also go on the fb page.

One itinerary that I would suggest, would be the Temple of the white squirrel (on highway 24, can't think of it's real name), Wat Ban Rai (in your video), Korat generally (maybe), Phimai and the temple on the hill in Bururam.

Does the temple have a great view? Wat Pa Pu Pa Sung, perhaps? (วัดป่าภูผาสูง)

Great video Pookie!

I don't know if you use Canva? It has many templates, including templates to create websites. You can also integrate and use Google maps for your travel work.

That's the one Alfie! Very interesting. A good walk as well. And the squirrels.

My previous vdos were displayed only pictures , music and words.
I tried to record my voice on vdo.  :D
...problems were matching voice and pictures , I spoke slowly ?? cause I'm not sure , if I speak fast , it will be clear understanding or not. Maybe people who are not familiar to English click to watch vdo. They can understand what I said. And I'm not good in specific words.

Do KF-members think the vdos are good or what I should make them better?  Thanks  :D

Pookie, they are excellent. Great work. I think you need to do this for Korat city: people complain about Korat and it would be good to show the interesting parts; it seems like a big commercial city but there are interesting parts.

Have you talked to the Korat city tourism office? Is there a tourism office?

Pookie, take a look at this. It is all in English, but this might give you tools to make even better videos.

Remember to add maps. This is really important. People want to know where they are going - I know this is something that I want to understand before I travel anywhere. Maps and more maps - you cannot have enough! Use Google maps as much as you can.

There are my VDOs introduce Korat by TAT support.  A guide can present only 2 minutes for a place.
I try to do the best as much as I can. I hope they are good for travelers plan to Korat.

Thanks Alfie,
I also like it and hope this vdo will be a memory of Korat because the tricycle men won't increase any more. Only old men who love this career. Many people like Tuk Tuk , taxi and Grab rider. And I also wish that this vdo would be selected for 1 in 30 of best vdo to advertise New Normal Travel Thailand.  ;D
