Milos Joksic is taking over at Swatcats. He did a good job at Pattaya so could be good for struggling side. Will he bring any players with him?

Hmm, well he's not exactly set Thai football alight, but a change can be positive for players. Hope that's the case here.

Hi TW thanks for your Match Report and the update re. the Manager.
Is he a man from the Balkans ? To manage Thais ? I hope that works.
Incidentally our next game is Home to the said Pattaya Utd - heaven knows we should get 3 points from that game. After losing 6-1 at Ratchaburi, Pattaya lost at home to Sisaket 0-5 yesterday.
Maybe Swatcats can score against them ............

Footnote to my missing the game - we decided to stay over and this morning went to Thunder Valley for a look.
Buriram can certainly teach the Swatcats about PR as well as football. We were welcomed into the stadium even the changing rooms for a look. I was surprised that the whole stadium is built of steel - I suppose the 'thunder' comes when 32,600 folks stamp on that treadplate. It is a great football stadium with the stands bordering the football pitch - tremendous atmosphere I am guessing. Good to be there and play there.
The Staff told us there were only 10,000 there yesterday. I'll try and go next year on the matchday !
Then we were able to drive around the Motor racing track next door.
And eat handsomely in the adjoining food mall. Excellent Club Buriram IMO.

As you say TW, Milos Joksic was at, Oh No, Pattaya United, until earlier this month.
Pattaya have lost their last three games.
Did he resign or was he pushed ?
Notwithstanding Pattaya are well above the Swatcats in the TPL and have more than twice as many points !

Hi Roger, sorry to hear about your Buriram woes. Yes Milos is Serbian. I guess english is the universal language of football coaching, so communication should not be a problem. I don't think he has much of a track record in Thailand but until recently he was doing OK at Pattaya.

Although I'm not sure, I think he will have to resign from his Pattaya post before signing up with the Swatcats. As far as I know he wasn't sacked - but I might be wrong.

Sorry about the vagueness - it is difficult to get information in english.

Crucial period for the Swatcats after the international break. They play Pattaya United (H), Osotspa (A) and Army (H). All games are winnable and given the Swatcats recent improvement and the “New Coach” syndrome 9 points should be the target.
If all of these games are won, our relegation woes will be temporarily behind us, however if we lose all three the prospect of relegation will be brought into sharp focus with the inevitable questions being asked of our newly appointed coach.

Hi TW. Yes mid-table is well within reach as soon as the winning habit comes back. Time will tell.
Good luck to Milos Joksic.........

Hi Tw and Roger,
New member but would like to say a few quick points
A new coach could be a good thing but as has been mentioned previously we need to have our defence sorted out and the goal keeper needs to have a bit more communication. Also we need some good clean ball for the strikers to have a chance at scoring. Observing other tpl teams they know how to liver good passes and also apply pressure, swat cats could improve in this area.
The next game is vital to get a win and gain confidence going forward.
Oh well we can hope !!! Cheers

Hi Goofy, thanks for your input. Totally agree with your well made points. Our strikers have ability but are receiving little service - perhaps the new midfielder will help. I personally think that Lindemann is a luxury that we cannot afford at present.

Gotta be good news - KW following in the path of one Sarat Yooyen !
I wondered today what happened to Shota Koide who was one of my favourites. Nothing on WikiP.
Hopefully Wettayawong will be in a similar mould to SY and SK ...
Just hope they don't play jinking Noah on the wing again to make space for KW.

Hi Roger, I suspect that Lindemann may be on the way out for second leg.

Not an auspicious start for the new coach. Swatcats defeated by Division 1 side Songkhla United in the Toyota League Cup.

The Swatcats welcome Thai Premier League newcomers Pattaya United on Saturday (KO 6.00 pm). This encounter pits new coach Milos Joksic against his former club.
This match is a “must win” situation for the Swatcats, as a loss will potentially cut them further adrift in the bottom 3.

Hey TW if that means NRFC are OUT of the League Cup - great !
We have bigger TPL problems on which to focus.
But that's a DIRE result.
Wrong choice of manager IMHO but I hope he proves me wrong.
See you Saturday .............
