Alex Albon was cruelly robbed of his first podium appearance when he tangled with Lewis Hamilton on the penultimate lap in the Brazilian GP.

Hi TW - the Stewards blamed Hamilton for that clash and Hamilton accepted a 5 second penalty that dropped him to 5th. Very hard indeed on Alexander Albon who really is going to be a force by the look of it.

I'll bet Robert is dancing around - well done Max Verstappen ! The upstart apparently overtook Lewis TWICE   ;)   (Just joking Robert - well done to MV !)

Hi Roger,

you would loose the bet about me dancing because due to a small operation have lots of muscles hurting me  ;D ;D ;D.

It was a shame that Albon was hit and loose his well-earned second place. In 2018 Max lost 1st place after being hit by Ocon so can understand how Albon feels. Otherwise it would have been: 1. Red Bull, 2. Red Bull, 3 Toro Rosso. Good promotion for Honda engines.

That's it for now - Lewis Hamilton's 6th Championship   :)

Well done Max Verstappen in 3rd and our 'own' Alexander Albon, finishing 8th after just half a season in the Red Bull - he dropped from 5th in the last race, pipped by just a few points.

4th placed Charles Le Clerc one to watch next year too . . . . .

How many more seasons for Hamilton? Will he get another title in 2021 and call it a day? He doesn't need the money, and with changes in F1 happening at rapid pace it will be years (decades!) before anyone comes close to his achievement.

A lucky podium for Alex Albon in Bahrain as Perez's Racing Point engine expires.

Yes Albon's podium was surprising after his heavy crash in practice on Friday - talk of Albon being replaced by Hulkenburg next season   ???

"Max Verstappen has poured cold water on his struggling teammate Alex Albon’s podium celebrations in Bahrain. Albon, at risk of losing his Red Bull seat after Abu Dhabi, finished third behind Verstappen in Bahrain. “There was obviously a bit of luck involved with Sergio, he had a really good race,” said the British-born Thai driver Albon, referring to Sergio Perez’s late-race car failure. “But considering Friday, the guys did an amazing job to get the car ready and it just feels good,” he added, now referring to his Friday practice crash."

The footage of the Grosjean crash, which Sky only broadcast once it was established that the driver was OK, was incredible. The driver climbing out of what was left of his car amid a fireball and clambering over the barrier wearing only one boot. Says a lot for safety protocols in F1. Rather in contrast to the Wolves Arsenal game and the horrific head clash betwesn Luiz and Jimenez after which Luiz played on in a blood soaked head bandag.e
