Do you buy lottery tickets?

I used to often buy lottery Thai tickets but I rarely do nowadays. My wife is the same but recently she has been having dreams and those dreams have encouraged her to buy a few lottery tickets. She chose the numbers based on those dreams. A last month she had a dream but she didn’t buy a lottery ticket. However, the numbers she associated with the dream were amongst the winning numbers. The next time she had a dream, she dreamt of our car and my motorbike together, so she chose lottery numbers that included those numbers.  I think she said she won 1000 baht. My MIL is a big believer in dreams and lottery wins and encourages my wife to buy them whenever she has a dream. I think it’s nonsense, and my wife is somewhere in between.

What about you and your Thai family? Do you buy lottery tickets? How do you choose your numbers? Do dreams play a part in which numbers you or members of your family choose?

Alfie , I thought I was the only person constantly bombarded with the words , Lottery Tickets and Dreams  ;D

Mrs Thaiphoon and the MIL are all ways going on about the dreams they had and the lucky numbers they have dreamed about , or how the cousin has just won money after seeing a lucky number embeded in some tree bark. Only last week we were walking around an open market and came across a stall holder selling a small paper booklet that proclaimed to have the ancient and mystical secret on how to find winning lucky lottery numbers. I stood for a few minuets and watched as the stall holder handed out the small booklet at 50 Baht a time to an eager crowd . Next we stopped at the snake show , the usual routine of tipping well fed and tried snakes from their small cramped boxes , let then slither around a bit  then offer a talisman that prevents a person from getting bitten by a snake , for 50 Baht .

At home I asked Mrs Thaiphoon what she thought of the stall holder selling the booklets on winning lottery numbers, she replied the man must have had a dream , and in that dream he saw the secret .  When I asked , well if the stall holder had in fact been blessed with the secret of finding a wining lottery number , why has he not bought every winning ticket he can , and become a rich man, instead of standing at a market stall , I was met with that wonderful Thai blank look and lovely smile.

My missus has dreams all the time like that and it spurs her to go and buy lottery tickets.
Sadly, however, we havent won the big one, but we do buy 1 or 2 each week so you never know? need to be in it to win it.

Good luck!!

(How many percent???}  :P

Ah Alfie , the road to that answer lies for you in the correct answering of a simple riddle , this riddle has been handed down in my family generation to generation , farther to son, mother to pet rabbit . answer this and all shall be revealed  ;D

A big black dog stood in the middle of a black road. There were no street lights above the road. An old car with broken headlights drove towards the dog but turned in time before he hit it. How did the driver see the dog in time ?
