Title: Premier League predictions
Post by: Alfie on August 16, 2014, 11:18:43 AM
Anyone up for some Premier League predictions this season?

How about a bit of competition? Predict the outcome of the Premier League matches (you don't have to guess the scores). Pick either a win for one team or a draw. You will get one point for every correct result you predict. Simple. There should be 10 matches most weeks so 10 points are up for grabs most weeks.

* Your predictions must be posted before the kick-off time for each game.

PS - TheOddViking you haven;t given a prediction for the ManUre v Bin Dippers game!

Thanks dereklev, but I thought it was obvious United will win.

Anyway, Liverfools will not win again before next year - and then only maybe.

The weather forecast for Boxing Day says snow and frost in north-west England later today, which is why I have changed three of my forecasts.

Burnley - Liverpool: from Liverpool to draw
Everton - Stoke: from Everton to Stoke
Leicester - Tottenham: from Tottenham to draw

Leicester might not be affected by the weather but it will still be a draw!

Wonder how wise these changes turn out to be...

This is the 1st decent test for Utd. since they started their run of results. I'd be surprised if you don't beat them. Another problem is Palace sacking Warnock and I was pushing things predicting a Palace win in any case. Will they be better or worse without him? Same team as last season, take the shackles off and who knows?

Yeah, well, the bar was lowered slightly around 11 pm. But when Man C scores a second-half winner someone will be 1 point ahead of our Dear Leader  ;D

Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without it you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.
Steven Weinberg

Wrong: that takes fanaticism.

I checked out this Weinberg again on Wikipedia and Wikiquote, and what an incoherent fanatic seems to be himself.

That was quick, Derek. A very confident prediction.  ;D

It's a must win for Spurs and if the Arses can win 2-1 we can win 3-1 ;D

Oops, thanks for spotting that Alfie, now correccted! I just copied the scores of the one above and changed those I though needed changing. Made a mistake with the Arsenal game though, should have left it as it was!

Liverpool didn't bother turning up and Rodgers didn't pick pick his best players.

Yes, congratulations on staying up. Must be something in the air with NE football, as all 3 sides from there struggle. It will be massive if the Geordies go down.
