AIS have started a scheme to collect electronic waste around the country.

Their “Mission Green 2020” environment protection campaign has set up e-waste bins in AIS shops across Thailand and also apparently at all Central department stores. The bins are equipped with IoT (internet of things) technology to collect and dispose of e-waste.

To find the e-waste disposal bin closest to you, visit ewastethailand.com.

For Nakhonratchasima it lists:

The Mall Korat: Floor 3, Zone IT
Central Korat: Floor 2
Tesco Lotus Johor: Floor 2
Terminal 21 Korat: Floor 3
Big C Korat: Floor 1
Tesco Lotus Pak Chong: Floor 1

Useful, Alfie - thanks.  I suspect it may all be disposed of more responsibly (?!) than the local tip!

I have successfully used this service. I had an old power bank that had given up the ghost so I popped into an AIS shop to look for the special bin. I couldn't see one so I asked at a counter. The staff member said I was too early. The service started on 7 October and I went in on the fifth. However, the woman kindly took my power bank to deposit on the seventh.
