First post of Christmas.

At my children's school we are in the last week of term. This means the Service of Nine Lessons. The Great and Good of the Isle of Man turned up to the first service (Tuesday) including the Bishop of Sodor and Man and the Chief Minister.

The Chapel looked lovely. Note the pictures in the eves of the roof - these are the pupils and staff who died in the Great War, and the pictures run the full length of the chapel on both sides. It is a staggering number of men for a small school on a tiny island in the Irish Sea.

Here's the choir singing. No.1 daughter is the tiny one on the front row. No.1 son is on the back row to the left (as viewed) with glasses and floppy bohemian hair...!
