The type of beans and where they were grown can make a big difference to the taste of the coffee.

I had a Mocha yesterday. I didn't really like it. I usually drink an Americano (with milk) or a Cappuccino. I like my coffee quite strong with milk and sugar added.

My colleagues and I like to go to Ama coffee. The place is way out of town near Sima Thani but a very nice, relaxing place, sitting under shade of trees, wooden house, wooden furniture and of cause the coffee taste is just great. The hot one in the morning and the iced one in the afternoon would be nice.  :D

Hi ben, I'm bad with direction explanation. :D I'll try. The place is on Mittraprap road, the same side as Sima Thani but further accross the rail track. Front of the coffee shop is part of railway line flyover. It's near the u-turn under the flyover. I hope my explanation doesn't make you get headache. ;D Maybe anyone who knows the place can explain it better.

They have facebook page. You can see more photos.

This is front of Ama Coffee.

Ocean Cafe in Korat downtown..

I went to the post office on Assadang road and took a walk around the area. I found this place, ..first just try to get away from the heat outside. A lovely place with many comfy (empty) chairs, I like those chairs! ... Coffee is fine, had only one so far.

It is also a little showroom of Ocean Glass product.

Ocean Cafe is on Assadang Road, near the junction of Sima Center Building, close to Nakhon Ratchasima Post Office, and Assadang Hotel.

Here's a Google Earth placemark file with the location of Cafe Ama. I'm also a big fan of the place. I go about twice a week to read the newspaper and enjoy the good coffee (from Lao).

I recently ordered some coffee beans from these guys:

Akha Ama Coffee

It's very nice. Ordering was easy (payment via PayPal) and delivery quick via Thai Post.

This place is in Chumphon. They will also ship coffee, but you need to call them and do a bank transfer. They ship via a freight company. It is very inexpensive but quite good for your every day brew:

Khao Talu Coffee
