There's a lot of BBC in there, TP. Is it just me or has the Beeb lost it's way somewhat? They do still produce some good stuff, just not as much, maybe? Is it a question of funding, or does Auntie have too much money and wastes it on bloated staffing?

In my opinion the BBC WAS the best tv channel in the English speaking world. I highlighted WAS because it has certainly lost its way in recent years by employing so called stars on huge saleries to front reality tv shows, absolute garbage in my opinion.

Dads Army, Yes Minister, Porridge, Only Fools and Horses, all classics to name but a few.

BBC dramas and documentaries excellent.

Partly down to funding, but also due to hiring too many pen pushers which seem to be the blight of any British organisation at the moment whether it is a TV company, the NHS or the tax office.

Hey Dutchy
It's all a matter of taste mate, we are all different, personally I wouldn't give the time of day to the first three programmes you named and I have only watched fools and horses since I have been over here.
There is one BBC programme that I did love though, the good life. In fact I have just downloaded the complete series.

Happylarry, I did say ''in my opinion'' at the start of the post, obviously people have different tastes. I am with you on ''The Good Life''

Comedy these days seems to consist of swearing and sex and lots of it. Nothing wrong with that, but the old ones seem to better without it.
