Perhaps he married his secretary who just happened to be his cousin - then shot her after she left him!

CONFIRMED: The Thai senator accidentally shot someone with a Jericho 941 pistol and NOT a "Uzi 9mm sub-machine gun"!
Now we only need to confirm whether the Thai senator shot his secretary, cousin or his wife.  ???

The latest ...

The shot woman had two children by the senator but the couple were not legally married. They had separated but recently got back together again.

Quote
Ms Chandee said Senator Boonsong, the third of her five children, is a gentle, quiet and easy-going man.

She confirmed he has two daughters with Chanakarn but said the pair were not legally married. The couple and their children, along with Chanakarn's mother, lived together in Mae Hong Son when the children were young.

However, the women relocated to Chiang Mai after Chanakarn and the senator separated, Ms Chandee said. They reunited after Senator Boonsong fell ill recently.

Senator protected by immunity

The Senate on Monday voted to reject a police request that it to allow Mae Hong Son senator Boonsong Kowawisarach to be questioned about the fatal shooting of his former wife.

The police request was taken up for consideration as an urgent issue, only to be turned down on the grounds that the senator is protected by parliamentary immunity and that the parliament will go into recess only one month from now.

Mr Boonsong, 56, is wanted for questioning by Wang Chin district police over the fatal shooting at a restaurant in Phrae province on Aug 12.

The senator was reportedly removing ammunition from his gun when it discharged. The bullet hit his 46-year-old former wife Chanakarn Dedkhad in the abdomen. She died on the way to hospital.

Mr Boonsong is facing a charge of manslaughter.
