In Car DVR - Camera Video Recorder
« on: July 06, 2011, 09:12:57 PM »

I spotted this gadget by chance , and thought it may be some thing that could come in handy especially on Thai roads, Ive lost count at the number of times a lunatic
Thai driver has nearly run into me , and I can see the scenario , farang's fault ,  farangs fault . So I decided to buy the gadget and give it a try .

Ive used the unit for a few days now, and I must say it works well, I put a 4GB memory card in it , and just transfer the days recording to my computer , its in colour with sound . Weather it will ever come in handy , I don't know but should I be involved in an accident that's not my fault  , it may pay for its self by providing a visual record to show exactly what happened .

It was very interesting to see how Mrs T drives when she's alone  ;D

The gadget is on sale with a Thai on line company for 2,690 Baht , but being a tight bugger I managed to find the exact same unit on ebay for 1,219 Bhat including
postage to Thailand , I was not charged any import tax.

Nice one, TP. I wonder if the boys in brown would be interested in the event of an accident with a Thai, however??

Yes I wonder too, but hopefully if I got into a fix and have the thing on video , I would just pass it on to my vehicle insurers and let them
sort it out , only time may tell .
