Coffee shops at Klang Plaza 2
« on: July 18, 2015, 12:40:10 PM »

There are three already open inside and one being set up outside. Floor numbers according to the new numeration set up at Klang Plaza. Photos taken yesterday.

1. Class Café 5, being set up on the external ground floor, opposite the Bangkok Bank

2. Sweet'n Soft, on the ground floor in the "MX Fashion area" (immediately inside the side entrance next to the elevators)

3. Biz Café, in a corner of the 2nd floor, opposite side from the elevators

4. Coffee Today, on the 5th floor near the elevators

Thank you very much, Anton. It's always good to know where coffee shops are - for me anyway.  :)

This morning there was something like an opening party there, crowded inside and with umbrellas and tables laid outside, where the wooden sculptures used to be until just a few days ago.

I am in there now.
Pluses: it is air conditioned, the staff know their jobs, service is good, lots of seating.
Minuses: Coffee could be better, large cups aren't really large, music is somewhat irritating, 80 baht Brownie was tasteless.

Slightly off topic, but did you know there is also a Class Cafe in Chang Peuak Road, on the other side of the road to the V One hotel? Must be a franchise or something. Music just as irritating, service just as good, the same brownies.

I found no. 6... Trok Saothong. In front of the only new condo in that street. Road distance from The Mall's waterfall: 800 m according to Google Maps.

That was being advertised as a bistro recently, or is class just on the upper floor?

I did patron this place once.

It's a 2 level bistro place. Prices are so-so... not too expensive... Beers have various choices like hoegarden, paulaumer, weihenstephen etc....

Good Band... english songs... sang well when i was there...

Sorry Caller. I missed this one. It was very similar, perhaps very slightly better, but it was a while ago now and I can't remember the details. I do remember that they had some imported beer in the fridge (German I think), and that it was pretty busy with a youngish (twenties to thirties) crowd in.

CLASS Cafe’ 6 At new condo on road from the Mall's waterfall

Do you mean Trok Samorai? I just went forth and back throughout it, but didn't see any Class Café. I did find one Café Rabbitini, I will inform about it in the other discussion.

You are right Waterheart. This morning I entered and they confirmed it to me, although the "6" isn't displayed anywhere (I noticed that also the "5" sign disappeared from the Klang Plaza branch, by the way).

No: it's on the road from traffic lights at KS Pavilion (Trok Saothong).

As geNe already answered, it's a two-level bistro (a pub from what I could see), with the upper floor equipped for live music performances. Class Café takes a corner on the ground floor.

I saw some farangs at a coffee counter which is a part of a souvenir shop in front of Yamo statue.

I didn't think they were tourists.  Were they some of KF members?    ???
