The Swatcats have cancelled the contract of defender Yoon Yunjung. No great loss in my opinion, he never settled and looked a defensive liability at times.

FT NRFC 1 Prachuap 2

Attendance: 3724

This afternoon's match offered a chance to consolidate after a couple of impressive performances.

In a first half dominated by the home team that created several chances, including good efforts from Assumpcao and Amadou, a Naruphol goal, scored in the 26th minute, separated the teams at half time.

With the Swatcats seemingly coasting to a vital victory, an emboldened Prachuap came out fighting in the second half and a deflected drive from William evened up the scores in the 50th minute.

With the home team striving for a vital winner, Chutipon popped up to break the Swatcat hearts with an 85th minute winner as the Swatcats crashed to defeat in this relegation six pointer.

0h well, back to square one I guess. A disappointing result against a very poor Prachuap outfit. The relegation trapdoor continues to creak open and without change the drop is becoming inevitable. This team has a weak squad that is poorly coached. There are one or two good coaches floating around that are presently unemployed - ACT NOW, this isn't working!!

A welcome break from the League next weekend when the Swatcats take on Samut Prakan in the FA Cup (Saturday 7th November, KO 1700 hours). Home advantage may give the Swatcats the edge.

Thaiwolf prediction: Home win after penalties.

Hi TW. I thought Narupol's goal was a great piece of opportunism - well done him. It seems Prachuap may have been a bit lucky but if we can't beat the sides at the bottom it doesn't augur well  ::)

One third of the way through the season already . . . . and we are still struggling. Nil desperandum  ;)

The Swats.cats were unceremoniously dumped out of the FA Cup by Samut Prakan last night.

Time for change now, Po-on must be sacked before it's too late,

Former Swatcat coach Milos Joksic has been appointed as assistant coach at Ratchaburi,

I wish him well.

The Swatcats are Bangkok bound to meet resurgent Muang Thong United this weekend (sunday 22nd November KO 1800 hours).

I see nothing but a home victory in this fixture.

Thaiwolf prediction: Home win.

Rumours circulating that coach Po-on will be replaced if the Swatcats are still in the bottom three at the end of leg one (ie after matchday 15).

FT Muang Thong United FC 1 NRFC 1

Attendance; 4732

With every match now becoming vital to Tier 1 survival, the Swatcats took on the Kirins at the SCG Stadium.

In a largely forgettable first half with the home team dominating possession, the Swatcats were rocked by a VAR decision to award a penalty in the 32nd minute. Derley hammered the spot kick against the upright but the keeper was adjudged to have moved off his line and the kick was retaken. This time Derley struck the spot kick high and wide in a remarkable escape for the visitors.

Minutes later Muang Thong were awarded a second penalty for a foul by Akekanat. Popp converted the kick and home team went in at half time one goal to the good.

The Swatcats opened the second half brightly and Murillo equalised in the 53rd minute with a bullet header. The Kirins then pressed and not for the first time,  a couple of great saves from keeper Thanachai kept the visitors in the game.

The Swatcats continued to battle bravely and despite late pressure from the home side they held on to secure a point.

A vital and unexpected point for the Swatcats, well done to the team. They matched one of the better TPL sides for endeavour and movement in the first half - one of the better halves of play displayed this season. In the second half, they simply outfought the opposition and thoroughly deserved their point.

Thanks TW. A good result indeed. The games at Rayong and Police Tero - we must have a chance and after that, Trat on Dec 13th - important not to lose any of those and maybe win one or two. ATB
