Kantary Hotel Restaurants
« on: May 21, 2017, 06:13:37 PM »

Guys

Anyone tried any of the 3 restaurants at the Kantary.  Think we will check out the Steak restaurant on the top floor first.  Will post my opinion later.

Cheers

Haven't tried the steak restaurant but the other two are OK. Prices are reasonable, club sandwich 150 baht, burger and fries 160 baht. The western food is limited to pizza, pasta, sandwiches and steak. There is Japanese food as well as Thai food. The pizza is not bad and there are about 10 different ones. The wife gives the Thai food and the restaurant in general her seal of approval, which not many restaurants in Korat get. They do a buffet once a week (can't remember what day) it's 350 baht at lunch time and 450 baht in the evening. There is free wine in the evening. It's not usually busy except for the buffet day. They have a nice selection of cake as well, 120 - 150 baht a slice.

That seems to be much more expensive than buffet at Sima Thani, where lunch is under 250 if I remember well, and only 190 on Mondays.

Probably you already tried it by now, anyway here is an article about that restaurant from yesterday's The Nation:

Steaks and sensuous snacks

Whether you’re heading to the Northeast or South, Cape and Kantary Hotels has food to make your smile.

The resort company has just opened its newest restaurant, The Grill Room Korat, on the 20th floor of Kantary Hotel in Nakhon Ratchasima, as well as a new branch of Cafe Kantary at Koh Yao Noi in Phang Nga.

The Grill Room Korat, which is open from 6 until midnight, is a classical Western-style restaurant that fuses the mouth-watering taste of a premium steak with exciting new cooking techniques. Guests can enjoy a full meal while gazing from the rooftop over the city lights or sit inside surrounded by relaxing natural greenery.

From today until December 30 diners can take advantage of a “Buy 1 Get 1 Free” offer on any cocktail & mocktail. Book a table at (044) 353 011-2.
