Does anybody know if it is possible to get old slides photos scanned in Korat anywhere? If yes I would take a few back with me when returning to Thailand next week. Thanks in advance.

Did you find someone to scan slides Anton. I have recently scanned some slides taken by my father in the late 1950's/ early 1960's. I used a slide scanner similar to this one: https://www.lazada.co.th/products/qnstar-35135-236-i175970022-s220462678.html?spm=a2o4m.searchlist.list.9.752c7f304kLTUo&search=1

The slides were old and degraded but the scanner did a reasonable job and it was relatively fast: simply install some software then work through the slides using the machine. The results were very acceptable and after a bit of tinkering in Lightroom were lovely to see. They included some wedding photos of my parents which were thought lost.

No I haven't. I had forgot about it, thanks for reminding me. My query is still valid.

I don't consider buying a slide scanner as they would be only a handful of slides, and I have no urgency. Thanks for the info anyway.

People's creativity never fails to amaze me! Some great ideas - I particularly like the doors.

Have you tried using your phone to take a picture of the slide? If you put the slide on a 'lightbox' (another mobile or iPad set to give off white light) could you take a picture and get acceptable results. I haven't tried this, and you would need to experiment, but it might work.
