Wow WH. It is a strange thing to look down on clouds when you are not on a plane! I always think it is strange to drive into clouds when going up a mountain too. Beautiful picture; please post more!

Thanks ! everyone like my picture , it's Phu tok at Chiangkan of Loei.
Your pictures are wonderful too, I never go to western and I like aisle seat  ;D

For this picture, I drove up to Phutapburk mountain in Phetchaboon province during end of rain season.
I drove up hill at night to see sun rise and drove down hill in mist.  ;)
I felt like I can reach cloud in the sky.  ;)

Brought back memories, been to Phu Thab Boek in October 2015. Many places to stay have been demolished since.

Great pictures WH and Robert! WH, if you are using your mobile to take pictures you can download an app called Snapseed. It makes it very easy to edit your pictures, add text, add effects etc.

I've just returned from a two week trip around various parts. Whilst it was business I took the camera with me.

First port of call was BKK. Had a couple of client dinners. The first in the Banyan Tree. Vertigo was closed because of the weather so we ate in the restaurant. Probably the best food I have ever eaten in Thailand. The next night was another dinner in Lebua. Weather was bad again, and what a disappointment. Shockingly expensive and poor quality. Never again.

From BKK to Manila. Stayed at the Peninsular, which was fantastic. I've never stayed in a hotel with an orchestra playing in the lobby... But I thought Manila was grotty and had a undercurrent of danger. You have to go through metal detectors everywhere, sniffer dogs, men with big guns etc.

From Manila to HK. Love HK. (there are some errant pictures of Manila mixed in; the hotel is the Pen). The Temple is Man Mo (?).

From there to Dubai. Meeting was in the Dubai Mall. It's Ramadan so even getting a coffee is a chore, but I thought it was an amazing place (to visit).

Not a photo by a member, but by Dave Silvester. This is Peter Hickman in knee-down action on his way to winning yesterday's Superbike TT.

Yes great pics. I love HK and recall when the Caledonian(?) building - the one with the ferris wheel in front of it, was just about the tallest building there. I recall on my first visit in 1980, eating at a revolving restaurant at the Furama(?) hotel, right on the quayside, it was on the 22nd floor and there were virtually uninterrupted views throughout. They pulled it down.

They even pulled down the wonderful colonial Repulse Bay Hotel on the waterfront at erm, Repulse Bay, and then rebuilt it again as it was, because of the outcry!

Amazing place.

Amazing place.

Someone told me that the HSBC building was constructed in a way that would allow it to be dismantled and moved; it was at the time of the handover. I had a meeting in there: it is not the nicest building. I agree with you Caller; it is an amazing place but not somewhere I would like to live!

Not now. But years ago, I would have jumped at the chance. I tried so hard as a lowly civil servant to get moved there, but I was young and naïve then.

Looking through some old pixs of a trip to Chiang Mai and saw these from a trip to an orchid farm.

Really great pictures. I hope you've printed these and have them on display: they would look amazing! I am sure there must be some great printing companies in Thailand, but the stand-out in Europe is Whitewall, https://www.whitewall.com/uk. I think your pictures as acrylics would leap off the wall.
