A useful reminder Alfie. I think I recounted my rabies saga here before - my Son, then 18 months old, was bitten in Nigeria - I won't bore you again.
Very few people actually die of rabies as compared to say dengue fever - but rabies is horrible. I always carry a stick when walking and am not afraid to use it or throw a stone. My own dogs are not allowed to lick.
A rabid dog often shows it by growling and aggressive behaviour obviously but that's worth watching, even if, as in our rabies mishap, it's your OWN dog
