Isle of Man TT 2018
« on: May 31, 2018, 06:35:49 PM »

TT2018 is already underway.

Only four days in, with racing yet to start, there is a major loss. Dan Kneen, a local lad, died last night. Also a fatality amongst the visiting riders.

I was barred from riding for medical reasons. They said the yellow streak and lack of spine precluded me.

TT 2018 finished on Friday with the Senior Race. Won by Peter Hickman in a new course record of 135.492mph (average around 37.7 miles of ordinary roads).

The Nortons were the outstanding bikes, if more for looks and sound than results.

Again CK ! I love Motorbikes but I don't want to ride one as a pilot or passenger  ;)

Last time in Korat - in G & D lunchtime - a chap pulled up on a nice looking bike and we talked. He said - you can take it out for a spin if you like  ???

No bl**dy way. Phenomenal machines . .
I'll stick to my truck . . . (At 71  ::) )

Maybe I could make an exception for that disgustingly beautiful Norton ;D

I'm the same Roger: they look great but frighten the life out of me. It's the other nutters on the road; I've no plans to kill myself.

Prince William was over on Wednesday. He's a real motorbike fan and has been before in mufti. He was sitting on that Norton getting a lesson in race craft from legendary TT winner John McGuinness. I wouldn't mind betting he gets one of these for his garage (there is a road version!).
