Arrived at Smart Resort near Nang Rong. Very nice, quiet place - recommended if you want a tranquill couple of days away from the madding crowd.

Hi TW. Should be an amazing weekend.

Some Guys from Chantaburi have been to Moto GP at Buriram before and they speak in glowing terms of the experience - four of them have gone this weekend. Apart from the racing and the occasion, apparently there's a stunning show of fantastic motorbikes and even more fantastic women   ;D

Anyway I hope you'll be keeping an eye on the TV for the Swatcats  ;)

Enjoy M8 - ATB

Only interest is bikes this weekend Roger. Already sorted out how to watch Wolves/Swatcats. Thank heavens for "TrueAnywhere". A great service.

Yes sorry TW. It's about Moto GP for you and I wasn't suggesting otherwise.

(BTW my strapping 35 year old Son has given up his beloved Moto X - leading his race he was touched accidentally mid air by another rider a few weeks ago and landed askew - resulting in a split and broken humerus. His right arm is now full of steel  ??? )

Anyway - by all accounts it's a great occasion - have fun !

Riding at a rather sedate pace of 120/140 on the highway into Buriram today, being passed by lads on race reps doing 200 plus kpm. Did I do the same when I was 25? Probably. There will be deaths!!

TW - your comment about those 200 kph bikers - that's frightening stuff particularly on Thai roads quite frankly. CK sees a lot of motorbikes on the IoM and there are deaths every year as you know.
As an ole' fella - give me a 'Vigo' anyday . . .

Imagine one of those single cylinder trucks loaded with cassava lurching out onto a road if front of a 200 kph wizard  :o

Regarding your 'rogues' - I saw the Honda and Yamaha stands on TV- both full of posing rogues. The feminist brigade would go crazy . . . .

Please keep the updates and pics coming. ATB

Love the use of tuk tuks with straw bale seating to shuttle fans around the circuit - very rural Isaan.

Marques pips Dovizioso in tremendous climax to a terrific day's racing - now for an ice cool beer.
